As we move forward with the Vision of MPBC, the Ministries common goal is to “Share the Gospel of Christ” and continue to bring others to Christ.  The Ministries work and focus on different aspects of the Vision as they continue to grow and mature in Christ.

Mission / Purpose:  To assist the Pastor in all ways necessary to ensure that we as a Leadership Team is taking care of God’s People and being Fisher of Men, Women, Boys, and Girls.

Mission:  Our mission is to assist the Pastor by working with the Deacons in ministering to the needs of the overall congregation, specifically to the women, children, elderly and those who are in distress or need with loving kindness, support, and sympathy.

Brief Bio:

  1. The Deaconess diligently studies God’s word, are followers of Christ and exhibits Christ-like behavior and participates in church ministries.
  2. Assist the Deacons
  3. The Deaconess supports the Pastor and the vision of the church and assists deacons in meeting the needs of the congregation.
  4. Communes with the sick and shut-in and help as needed. Prepare and assist candidates for baptism.

Ministry Chairperson: Sis. Joyce Archie

Mission / Purpose:  To ensure proper maintenance and upkeep of the physical condition of Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church as well as maintaining the financial aspects of the church.

Brief Bio:  The Ministry top three priorities are:

  1. Spirituality
  2. Honesty
  3. Integrity

Mission: Our Mission is to prepare our youth of today to be strong and courageous in the Lord by teaching them how to be responsible in church, their community, school and in life in order for them youth to become mature both personal and spiritual. The knowledge and skills received aid in nurturing positive values to help our youth apply faith to daily life experiences.

Brief Bio: The top priorities for the Youth Ministry Is to:

  1. Encourage Member participation
  2. Grow our Youth Spiritually
  3. Give back to our community

Mission / Purpose:  The mission of the Music Ministry is to comfort and uplift souls through music as well as share God’s word through song.

Brief Bio:  The music ministry focus is to:

  1. Sing praises of Thanks to God and lift up the word
  2. Minister in song to all that attend
  3. Through our ministry, uphold the vision of the church…A church of Love!

To be door-keepers for the House of the Lord in an effort to Glorify God.

Goals:

  1. To assist the pastor in making the worship service a success.
  2. To greet each worshipper with a pleasant smile & aim to put the congregation in the right frame of mind to receive the message.
  3. To ensure that order is kept in and around the church at all times and do whatever it takes to advance God’s kingdom and the church.

Mission / Purpose:  To keep in contact weekly with the healing and recovering members, contact monthly our military members, out of town members, college students, and bereaved family as dictated.

Goals:  The goal of the Stay In touch Ministry is to:

  1. Encourage members.
  2. Keep in contact with members.
  3. Visit recovering and healing local members.

Mission Statement:  The Sisterhood is the mission ministry of Mount Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church. The purpose of the mission is twofold:

  • First, reaching inward, nurturing our membership through mission study, education, fellowship, and prayer.
  • Second, reaching outward through personal witnessing, evangelizing, helping the needy and less fortunate, and seeking justice and liberty for all in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

The Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church Brotherhood consist of all male members of the church, united together for the common purpose of leading men from where they are to where God wants them to be. Our general meeting time is at 9:00 A.M. on the 2nd Saturday of the month, where we gather for breakfast to discuss upcoming events and projects, study the word of God, share the word of God, learn to live by the word of God, and develop strong leaders while carrying out the mission of the church.
